Reicofil logoReifenhäuser Reicofil has announced it will launch an innovative combination product made of nonwoven and film at Index 2014 in Geneva, which takes place from 8-11 April.

The new product which has not yet been named, has been developed together with the machine manufacturer’s sister company Reifenhäuser Cast Sheet Coating, a leader in cast film lines, sheet lines and coating lines. The company will also show its latest technologies and newest developments.

Bernd Klünter, sales manager at Reicofil says: “We will create a completely new business field with the new product that offers great market potential for our existing customers. In the realization of this project, we have benefited a lot from the synergies within the Reifenhäuser Group. For that reason, the Group members Reifenhäuser Cast Sheet Coating and Reifenhäuser Kiefel Extrusion will also be represented at the booth with their line technology.“

In addition, Reicofil will also show a new lightweight material initially presented to the public at the K 2013 plastics show in October last year - a rollable fibre-reinforced plastic from nonwovens.

The company will also exhibit a number of calendered, hydroentangled, needled and thermobonded nonwovens, meltblown fabrics and composites for hygiene, medical and industrial applications.

The Reifenhäuser Group, based in Troisdorf, near Cologne, Germany, is a leading supplier of extrusion lines, machines and components, which claims to makes up the biggest in-house know-how network for extrusion technology in the world. Its six business units bundle highly specific know-how in design, process technology, automation, project planning, manufacturing, project management and logistics.

Together, the group says it covers the largest portfolio of extrusion technology and its companies offer lines for the production of films, sheets, nonwovens, monofilaments, wood polymer composites and associated components.
