The Saurer Board of Directors, consisting of international textile and business experts, extended a very warm welcome to Mr Kross, who has joined the Saurer Board from 1of April 2015.

Longstanding experience

Stefan Kross, who holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) from RWTH Aachen, has a longstanding experience in the textile machinery industry, especially in the business of Saurer.

Mr Kross started to work for Saurer in 1990. Following different management positions, he was appointed member of the Schlafhorst Board and was responsible for Winding Systems. In 2004 he took the position as Chief Technology Officer of the Textile Division within Saurer Group.

Besides synergy projects in technology, procurement and operations, he established Saurer (China) Technology Co. Ltd and was responsible for the startup of Saurer (Jintan) Textile Machinery Co. Ltd.

Great asset and support

After his journey with Saurer, Mr Kross worked for four years as the CEO of Oerlikon Barmag. Since 2012, he was the CEO of Oerlikon Manmade Fiber (Barmag, Neumag). In 2013 he was appointed as the Member of Executive Committee of Oerlikon Group.

The Saurer Group and the Saurer Board of Directors are looking forward to working closely together with Mr Kross, who will be a great asset and support to the board owing to his in-depth knowledge of the textile industry and Saurer in particular.
