Oracle Team USA, supported by the Oxeon’s proprietary TeXtreme Spread Tow carbon fibre reinforcements, won the 34^th Americas Cup sailing.

As a Preferred Supplier to the team, TeXtreme is said to have contributed to weight savings and improved mechanical performance on selected composite parts.

Oracle Team USA founder Larry Ellison commented: “This was the most magnificent spectacle on the water. These 40-plus knot catamarans are amazing. AC72 catamarans

The AC72 catamarans used in the 34^th Americas Cup races can reach speeds on about 46 knots, which equals 75kph/46mph. The weight of an AC72 wing is the same as a small car, but it is 26 times the height with its 40m/131,2ft.
