The company will showcase highly functional fabric materials that have been designed to offer excellent combinations of performance, appearance and texture for sports and outdoor use. The stand also will promote Teijin Frontier’s environmental initiative, THINK ECO, for environmentally friendly solutions that conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions.

DELTAPEAK

Among the exhibits will be the next-generation fabric DELTAPEAK, which integrates physical properties, functionality and quality on a highly advanced level, according to the company.

Soft, durable and stretchable, it is also said to offer ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and snag resistance due to its dense, flat-knit surface. The display will showcase extra-functional DELTAPEAK nylon materials made with special processing technology adapted from polyester. Several varieties of DELTAPEAK will also be presented, including a 3D woven version and new coarse- and glossy-grandrelle textures.

Octa Neo

Octa Neo is a multilayer sheath-core fibre that combines Octa hollow, eight-fin polyester fibres at its core and other chemical or natural-staple fibres in the sheath. In addition to the bulkiness and moisture management of Octa, it can offer a versatile range of other properties or textures based on the fibres chosen for its sheath, the company reports.

PASMO

According to the manufacturer, the high-tenacity PASMO polyester material achieves superior comfort and body support based on a tensile strength that is 1.5 times greater than that of conventional materials.

Bio-derived materials

The booth at Outdoor Friedrichshafen 2016 will also exhibit partially bio-derived polytrimethylene terephthalate fibres including SOLOTEX, which is exceptionally soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable.

Teijin Group

Teijin is a technology-driven group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare.
