DSM Dyneema, the producer of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene Dyneema fibre, has appointed Poland's JS Gloves as its first Premium Manufacturing Partner for cut-resistant gloves in Europe.

“As part of our commitment to create the world’s safest hands, we partner only with market leaders of whom we are confident that they have the ability and commitment to meet our high manufacturing standards,” said Olivier Boubeaud, Global Business Segment Director, High Protective Textiles, DSM Dyneema.

“JS Gloves is that type of organisation, and thus this move will give workers in the region greater and easier access to safer gloves.”

Eastern European glove industry

In becoming the first Premium Manufacturing Partner for the manufacturing of cut resistant gloves in Europe, Milanowek headquartered JS Gloves joins a select group of global manufacturers selected by DSM Dyneema via a qualification process.

This is a key factor that helps DSM Dyneema maintain tight control from start to finish of all products manufactured with Dyneema fibre, the company reports.

“Moreover, by bringing value to the Eastern European glove industry and access to innovations like Dyneema Diamond Technology we will be able to create longer term sustainable growth in combination with a significant contribution to safety in the region,” commented Orlando Ramakers, Sales Manager, DSM Dyneema.

Hand protection

“Today’s cut-resistant gloves with Dyneema are the best the industry has ever seen. And these gloves are much more durable and comfortable than anything else in the market today,” said Juliusz Szewczyk, JS Gloves CEO.

“As a result the hand protection offered by JS Gloves will better protect workers while also adding to operational efficiency. We are delighted to be making a significant contribution to the safety of workers in Eastern Europe by providing them access to the best possible hand protection gloves that can be manufactured today with Dyneema.”
