With this acquisition, the company expects to expand beyond hygiene applications, whilst increasing its market presence in other regions.Texol, a leading manufacturer of special topsheet ad elastic material for hygiene applications, with sites in Italy and Chile, has purchased the majority of ORMA, a maker of hydroentanglement specialty products for medical, tablecloth, cosmetics and wipes industries.

This strategic acquisition is part of Texol commitment to develop and produce innovative and specialty products, expanding the company’s hygiene applications to other markets, whilst increasing the market presence in other regions.

“Together, the two companies will produce and supply unique products taking and combining the advantages and synergies of Texol know-how, experience in technologies and products development with ORMA’s expertise and capabilities in production, logistics and market knowledge,” the company explains.

“In addition, this acquisition brings us significant synergies such as R&D, sales, purchasing, human resources, administration and finance, as well as Information Technology. We are convinced that this acquisition will bring several benefits to all the existing and new customers of both companies continuing to supply the current and new innovative products.”

With this acquisition, the company continues investing in bio and green products. “Ecology and sustainability are to be one of the main focuses for Texol and ORMA further development,” the company reports. In collaboration with the company’s suppliers and customers, Texol’s objective is to develop products with low environmental impact, offering practical sustainable solutions in an increasingly demanding and selective market.
