China gets new centre for superfine fibre based synthetic leather

After all the production lines are put into operation, Top Sun will become the top third Chinese domestic superfine fibre enterprise.

An inspection group, led by CNITA President Li Lingshen and Secretary General Li Guimei, has conducted a site visit, after which they formally announced the establishment of China synthetic superfine fibre leather new material research and development base in Changtai County, Fujian Province.

Plans

Top Sun is a modern large-scale super fibre leather manufacturing enterprise jointly established in 2009 by Xintai Leather Industrial and Jilin Runzhe Super Fiber Sci-Tech (Runzhe). The company has a registered capital of US$ 22 million and has a total planned investment of 100 million Yuan (US$ 16.05 million) and it covers an area of 196,666.67 square meters.

Top Sun plan is set to be completed in two phases. The phase one project has invested 500 million Yuan (US$ 80.25 million). It covers an area of 120,000 square meters, and currently has an annual output of 4000 tons of sea island fibre and 10 million extended metres of Islands-in-Sea leather fabric production capacity.

The project phase two will invest another 500 million Yuan (US$ 80.25 million), covering an area of 73,333 square meters, in order to achieve eight superfine fibre production lines with an annual output of 16 million meters scale. After all the production lines are put into operation, Top Sun will become the top third Chinese domestic superfine fibre enterprise.

Leading specialist

Top Sun has established a research cooperation with Tsinghua University, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. At the moment, the company has 320 employees.

Top Sun specialises in Islands-in-Sea Superfine Fibre and high-grade synthetic leather, high-grade nubuck leather development, production, and sales. The company has the production and technology R & D capability involved in all superfine fibre leather products including Islands-in-Sea spinning, nonwovens, impregnated, reduction, oiling, rubbing and veneer, and dyes.

With this technology level, Top Sun has  complete product varieties and diverse styles that have been widely used in high-grade auto seat fabric, furniture, decoration materials, imitation leather apparel fabrics, the high-end shoe, high level military products, high-grade cleaning materials, advanced gloves, and sports goods, luggage, handbags and more.

Top Sun’s leading product is ecological superfine fibre auto seat leather that can partly replace the natural leather. The company has also claimed a number of national patents.
