Vicunha Textil opens showroom in Amsterdam

The company has also participated in the KingPins tradeshow for denim fabrics, which took place in Amsterdam last month.

Vicunha Textil, a Brazil based textile manufacturer has opened a new showroom in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in order to strengthen its position in the European market.

“Amsterdam is a real denim metropolis and the eclectic mix of old and new makes it the ideal location for an additional Vicunha base. Plus, it’s only a stone’s throw away from our logistics warehouse in Rotterdam. By increasing our presence here, we are optimising our already high level of service for Europe, which will enable us to continue offering cost-effective, consistent quality,” commented Thomas Dislich, Managing Director for Vicunha in Europe and Asia.

“In combination with our office in Bangladesh, where we are seeing a continually growing market for production, we are the link between buying and sourcing. While connecting the independent, Vicunha successfully offers trends to the market that are instantly available.”

Well-equipped for future

Located in the up-and-coming neighbourhood of Houthaven, shoulder to shoulder with big name brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, the Brazilian denim specialist sees itself as perfectly positioned for further growth and development. Sales Manager for Europe, Julien Eickelmann, is managing the new office in Amsterdam.

KingPins denim platform

The company has also participated in the KingPins tradeshow for denim fabrics, which took place from 26-27 October, a stone’s throw away the new showroom. As a Brazilian denim ambassador in Europe, Vicunha is seeking direct contact with the industry and also using this platform to further expand its network.

The tradeshow is drawing in increasing numbers of influential denim professionals and is meanwhile one of the industry’s favourite events. Amsterdam is a central destination for buyers and designers from all over Europe. With its inspiring shops and well-established Denim Days event, the city has developed into a vibrant hotspot.

“As one of the world’s biggest denim producers, KingPins is a must-attend event for us. Close contact and the chance to communicate with the industry is a major priority for Vicunha. It’s here in particular that we meet lots of product development teams who come to spot the latest trends,” said Thomas Dislich.
