Champion Thread names new Vice President of Business Development

In his expanded role, Lee is responsible for developing growth strategies and leading the expansion of the company’s diverse textile, consumer goods, and industrial markets.

“We are pleased to acknowledge Jim for the dedication he brings as a valued member of our senior management team. He has been a key contributor to the strong growth we have experienced in recent years and we are confident that his taking on added responsibilities will only accelerate this success,” commented Champion Thread President Matt Poovey.

New role

Prior to serving Champion Thread for eight years as Director of Sales and Marketing, Lee enjoyed a 12-year career in textile manufacturing where he engineered and managed processes and purchasing at Springs Global, Galey and Lord, and LaFrance Industries.

Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Clemson University and Certifications in Purchasing Management (CPM), Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
