The organisers of Techtextil India have announced program details for the Techtextil India Symposium which is being held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from 11-12 October 2011 alongside the exhibition.

The organisers of Techtextil India have announced program details for the Techtextil India Symposium which is being held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from 11-12 October 2011 alongside the exhibition.

The symposium has been designed to offer practical advice to companies wanting to become involved or to increase their involvement in technical textile markets.

Speakers will address topics such as how to re-engineer a company's manufacturing chain and corporate culture, how to develop products, how to select the right market products, how to exploit the latest raw materials, machinery, manufacturing processes and sales and marketing techniques.

They will also address the importance of testing and quality control and certification, how to find new partners and target new customers and where to find help and support.

Session 1 will address global markets for technical textiles and will include an ‘Overview of the worldwide markets for technical textiles' by Michael Jaenecke, Brand Manager Techtextil Worldwide, Messe Frankfurt.

Michael JaeneckeSession 2 will focus on issues facing companies that want make the transition from manufacturing traditional to technical textile products.

Sessions 3 and 4 will explore topics in more detail with particular reference to the key market sectors of geotextiles, textiles for agriculture and horticulture, medical textiles and textiles for safety and protection.

According to the organisers ( Messe Frankfurt, BCH (Business Co-ordination House) and International Newsletters), a unique blend of industry experts from around the world and from local industry will share their experiences and in a programme structured to encourage interaction and debate, will address the detailed concerns of the audience.
