Chomarat, a leading specialist in textile reinforcements for composite materials, will present all of its activities for the first time at the Techtextil 2015 trade show that takes place from 4-7 May in Frankfurt.

These will include coated fabrics and technical films, grids and reinforcements for composites, for a range of sectors that includes construction, luggage, luxury, telephony and design.

Since Techtextil is the world’s leading trade show for technical textiles and nonwovens, it is important for us to show our entire offering there,” explained Philippe Chomarat, Head of Chomarat’s Coatings & Films business.

Among other things, Chomarat will present three flagship product lines: Oflex coated fabrics, C-PLY carbon reinforcements, and C-Grid carbon grids.

Oflex Design and Oflex Bio-based are two coated fabric lines that offer a wide range of design possibilities in the luggage, luxury-accessory and telephony sectors, without sacrificing any strength and low-weight properties.

Intermediate-module (IM) carbon fibre C-PLY Ultra Thin also addresses the weight reduction challenge. Chomarat’s aluminium-film-reinforced glass grids for roof waterproofing are said to have optimal vapour-barrier performance and sufficient mechanical strength to support the weight of anyone working on the roof. Chomarat’s C-GRID carbon grids, developed for the construction market (concrete reinforcement), will also be exhibited at the Group’s stand in collaboration with B&R Building Materials.
