“Jon is a key addition to the Datatex family. We view his appointment as a sign of our commitment to being the leading technology company for the textile and apparel industry,” commented Ronnie Hagin, CEO of Datatex.

“Our new product releases and the increasing demand from our customers led us to look for an addition to our team who can lead us in communicating the unparalleled value of our software solutions and consulting capabilities. It is very fortunate that we could find someone of Jon’s industry depth and experience to fulfil this role. I’m confident that Jon will play a key role in Datatex’s continued growth.”

Value-oriented solution

Jon Buchan mentioned that the “value-oriented solution offerings from Datatex have consistently generated more profitability and created more digital transformation for their customers than any other solution on the planet.

“In my new role, I have the responsibility to ensure that this message is loud and clear and give every textile and apparel organisation the opportunity to unlock their potential and compete effectively. I’m very excited about the future with Datatex,” he said.

Datatex

Datatex was founded in 1987, when it brought together two sets of expertise: the first was that of a group of textile management consultants, highly familiar with the sector's working practices; the second was that of an established software house, specialising in ERP – enterprise resource planning solutions.

The aim was to build an ERP application for the textile and apparel sector that would adapt itself to the working practice of each company - rather than forcing users to adapt their processes to the application.

Their second aim was to develop a service model going well beyond the simple delivery of a software package – a long-term commitment to creating software solutions for the textile and apparel sector with extended life-cycles that grow and support the user's changing business operations through the years.
