Ghezzi, an Italian yarn manufacturer for twisted, stretch and fancy yarns made with synthetic, artificial and natural fibres, has launched a range of new generation premium stretch yarns at the Filo yarn and fibre exhibition that took place in Milan last week.

These new yarns with ROICA Eco Smart by Asahi Kasei are said to deliver high performance stretch together with sustainability benefits, the company reports.

ROICA Eco-Smart

ROICA Eco-Smart is an eco-friendly, stretch yarn and is the only more sustainable, eco-stretch elastane that is GRS certified (Global Recycling Standard by Textile Exchange), according to the manufacturer. The production of this yarn uses more than 50% pre-production industrial waste material and is designed responsibly and ethically for customers looking to bring contemporary stretch to their own more sustainable product lines.

The smart and innovative material is designed to help clothing manufacturers deliver a more responsible high performance without compromise, while appealing to the modern consumer’s desire for better value.

Ghezzi has been a partner of ROICA, but also of CUPRO by Asahi Kasei for many years. CUPRO is a refined, matchless material with a soft silk like touch. Its soft versatility is said to make it perfect for the modern wardrobe’s fashions, intimates, special occasion and everyday casual wear.

On display

There will be three main topics proposed by Ghezzi for Autumn/Winter 2017-2018 season. The first will present the company’s reinterpretation of its classic yarns, artificial and synthetic fibres in combination with natural fibres. The products will include ROICA yarns with special attention to artificial fibres such as viscose and CUPRO; and ROICA stretch with Ceramic Polyester Yarn.

Secondly, new combinations of fibres for the realization of cady fabrics for outwear will be presented, including Frisottini and frisottini Stretch with ROICA in viscose and hand-modified polyester, and Microtencel stretch crepe with ROICA.

Finally, the company will showcase the benefits of its yarns for denim fabrics, with a polyester microfilament and high tenacity nylon stretch with ROICA.

Ghezzi

The company continuously invests in technology to achieve the high levels of expertise, experience, and competence. Today its production facilities include a plant of approximately 30,000 spindles, for the high quality production of twisted, stretch and fancy yarns for outerwear, fashion and homewear, both for curtain and upholstery fabrics.

With an in-house technical team, that is said to allow Ghezzi to maintain its position in the field of research and development of new products.
