ColorDigital GmbH, Dimpora, Garment 10 Corporation, Paramount Textile, Säntis Textiles and Trident (India) are among the latest companies to join the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF).

Founded in 1904, the ITMF is the international forum of the global textile value chain for producers, from fibre to finished products. Its members are from textile and apparel-producing countries representing approximately 90% of global production.

ColorDigital, of Cologne, Germany is the developer of the DMIx SaaS – an ecosystem combining industrial manufacturing processes and digital product development workflows as an end-to-end solution for brands and suppliers. Based on the DMIx digital twin standard, the system enables the exchange of all relevant data for colour and material development, 3D virtualisation and the real time exchange of product master data between stakeholders and relevant software solutions. DMIx and its multiple modules enable qualitative efficiency in collaboration between all tier stages of the supply chain, leading to highly efficient processes and a sustainable way of working – reducing unnecessary physical sampling while saving time and cost.

Dimpora is an award-winning materials start-up developing non-toxic, waterproof and highly breathable membranes with a patented technology platform.

“For start-ups it is important to be affiliated with organisations whose members are serving the international markets and have an excellent knowledge of the global market structures and the potential regional and global demand,” says Dimpora CEO Dr Mario Stucki. “ITMF is an attractive platform that we can use and be an active part of.”

Established in 1946 in Viet Bac in northern Vietnam, Garment 10 Corporation initially focused on making military uniforms and today is one of the largest enterprises in Vietnam’s apparel and textile industry with a total of 19 factories. It manufactures and exports nearly 30 million garments annually.

Paramount Textile – a part of Paramount Group of companies in Bangladesh – was established in 2006 and manufactures a diversified range of dyed yarns and dyed, finished, and printed woven fabrics. In 2021, the company exported more than $60 million worth of merchandise worldwide.

Säntis Textiles is a family-owned and run textile sourcing and supply company headquartered in Singapore that was established in 2005. It specialises in material, fibre and yarns and fabric development and sourcing for the global garment and technical textiles market, with offices in Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, China, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, UK and the USA.

In 2016, Säntis launched its proprietary RCO100 technology – the world’s first mechanical recycling machinery.

“The textile trade has transformed immensely in the past 20-30 years,” says Säntis Textiles AG MD Annabelle Hutter. “The production of apparel and home textiles have moved to a large extent to Asia, new markets for circular as well as technical textiles have emerged and digital and environmental requirements have reshaped the industry. What has not changed is the need to be connected personally with colleagues from the industry around the world. The ITMF is a special forum and offers its members information that helps to better understand the dynamics of the industry. Säntis Textiles appreciated attending the ITMF Annual Conference 2022 in Davos, where interesting topics were discussed and personal contacts could be strengthened.”

Trident (India) began with a solitary unit making high-quality yarn and has become the largest manufacturer of terry towels and one of the largest integrated home textile manufacturers in the world. From Punjab, the company is supplying to the homes of millions of customers across 100 countries and has also diversified into paper, chemicals, energy and more.
