Santex Rimar Group to present its range of innovations at ITM16

The Group united different companies to become a technology partner for knitted, woven fabrics, nonwovens and green solutions.

Santex Rimar Group, a leading machine manufacturer for weaving, textile finishing, nonwovens, technical textiles and green technologies, will be presenting its expertise at the ITM trade fair for textile machinery that takes place from 1-4 June in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Group evolved since 2015, when it united different companies to become a technology partner for knitted, woven fabrics, nonwovens and green solutions. The Group consist of Cavitec and Isotex that lead the technical textiles machinery market; Santex and Sperotto Rimar that produce machines for textile finishing; and Solwa that provides eco-friendly machinery for water treatment, food dehydration, agribusiness sector and industrial waste management.

With the addition of SMIT, the Group has also recently become a solution provider in the weaving sector. At ITM 2016 SMIT will exhibit a loom for high quality shirting, which is an evolution of the series characterized by absence of guide block, flying ribbon technology and optimized warp shed studied to reduce yarn breakages or defects.

Innovations and products

Santex Rimar Group has a strong strategy focused on market needs. Sperotto Rimar has new solutions for decatizing wool and artificial fibres. The company will present the new Decofast 3.5 at ITM 2016. Also, as a result of a successful partnership on the development of plasma to reduce textile production costs, it is presenting Plana for long lasting anti-shrinkage effect on woollen fibres and deyeability without chemicals. Santex is focused on Shrink Dryers for knitted fabrics and on the new Santacompact RD compacting machine.

The Technical Textile division has delivered impregnation lines for aerospace and insulation material: the new Cavimelt P+P is the latest solution under Cavitec brand for coating and laminating while Isotex is working on an exclusive partnership with Covestro, former Bayer, on water based solvent free synthetic leather.

Important market for SMIT

The entrance in Santex Rimar Group will allow SMIT to use a vast sales and support network worldwide to open up new opportunities and to provide a higher level of know-how for customers. SMIT smart platform of weaving machines is available in various configurations and can be used in all the textile sectors, including terry and home-textile.

“Turkey has always been one of the most important market for SMIT: with more than 2,000 looms installed all over the Country we are present in important textile areas such as Istanbul, Bursa, Denizli, Gaziantep, KahramanmaraÅŸ and others,” said Stefano Gallucci, Group CEO.
