The group will showcase high-performance protective apparel solutions incorporating the group’s proprietary Teijinconex heat-resistant and flame-retardant meta-aramid fibre, and Twaron and Technora high-strength para-aramid fibres technologies.

Exhibits

Teijin will showcase a firefighter suit that is said to offer high levels of heat-protection performance in a comfortable, lightweight design, achieved with the use of Teijin-developed aramid fibre fabric.

The group will also present a prototype of a heat resistant work uniform made with a newly developed meta-aramid fibre designed to provide high levels of heat resistance combined with excellent dyeablility.

Stretchable aramid fibre fabric that will also be featured at the event, has been developed to enhance comfort and increase range of motion in uniforms worn in physically demanding work such as search and rescue.

Another exhibit, the radiation-shielding fabric, is produced by blending radiation-shielding tungsten particles with Technora para-aramid fibre. It is said to offer radiation protection that corresponds to the amount of tungsten blended combined with flexibility and workability. It is ideal for use in environments where workers need the mobility to handle tools while being protected from not only radiation but also hot objects, sharp-edged rubble and other danger, the company reports.
