A new Jack & Jones t-shirt is the first commercially available product made with fibre from Spinnova and Suzano’s Woodspin joint venture facility in Jyväskylä, Finland, opened in 2023.

The t-shirt comes in three different colours, bright white, butter cream and black, each with a unique floral backprint, and is made from a blend of 30% wood-based Spinnova fibre, 45% cotton, 20% organic cotton and 5% elastane.

Bestseller brand Jack & Jones previously launched a capsule pair of men’s trousers made with Spinnova fibre in October 2022.

The fibre produced at the Woodspin facility is made from certified wood pulp from Scandinavia using Spinnova’s proprietary technology and the t-shirt is taking the largest production volume of a commercially available Spinnova product to date. It is being sold in selected Jack & Jones stores, through wholesalers and online on at

“We’re delighted to continue our close collaboration with Bestseller and do our part to help them bring to life their strong sustainability strategy,” said Spinnova’s CEO Tuomas Oijala. “We couldn’t be more excited to see them launch a new product made from Spinnova – let alone one that has an accessible price point and availability.”

“At Jack & Jones we strive for a better way of making clothes,” added Allan Jung Thorbøll, international buying manager at Jack & Jones. “We push ourselves to innovate and explore processes and materials with a lower impact on the environment. In Spinnova we’ve found a strong partner to take part in that journey.”
