The second Euratex Convention, organised and run by Gesamtverband textil+mode, will take place from 4-5 November at the Deutsche Bank, Berlin.

Representatives from banks, institutes, associations and companies are looking into the year 2025, shedding light on how the textile industry is going to look by then, considering changes the new innovation will bring.

Future for the industry

The textile and fashion industry is one of the strongest in Europe with regards to revenue and employees. However, the industrial base varies widely within the EU. Therefore, the EU wants to strengthen the industrial base in all member states, according to Euratex.

The new study by DB Research on the future of the European industry ‘Europe's re-industrialisation: The gulf between aspiration and reality’ aims to focus on questions about whether these changes will happen, and what is needed to achieve this goal.

Global influences

When looking at 2025 it is important to know how the industrial powerhouses worldwide are going to develop. Hence, the European Confederation is not only interested in the outside view on Europe but also in the assessment of how other countries will develop.

According to Euratex, global megatrends are going to sustainably influence developments in research and production, also in the textile industry. Entrepreneurs from several European countries, as well as from China, Korea and the USA, are going to share their ideas of a future textile world in all its variety. A future researcher from trendone will present ‘The World in 2025 - Future of Multichannel Commerce’.

Euratex Convention

The second Euratex Convention is a platform to exchange ideas about the future of the European industry in general and about the future of the textile and fashion industry in particular.

The conference is not only interesting for company representatives but of particular interest also for representatives of European governments and institutions, which provide effective support to the process of re-industrialisation.
