The Look Company, headquartered in New York, is redefining fabric printing capabilities for large-scale visual branding in retail, sport and event environments previously not available, with the introduction of eight-colour graphics.

For sports teams, stadiums, chain stores and big-box retailers this will mean the ability to achieve graphics and visual displays with an unprecedented range of colours, including notoriously challenging colors, such as ‘Reflex Blue’.

The company’s investment in advanced printing practices will be put to immediate use on major projects, including graphics for the 2026 National Hockey League (NHL) Stadium Series, as well as for global retailers like Walmart. The resulting graphics will be printed at twice the colour gamut achieved by standard industry printing, while reducing printing times and increasing energy efficiency.

Currently, the global printing industry produces graphics using the four-colour CMYK model, printed at a standard resolution of 300 DPI (dots-per-inch), the company explains. This, however, prevents brands and organisations around the world from accurately achieving newer, more complex colour shades and more sophisticated brand guidelines. By contrast, The Look Company’s new printing capabilities make an eight-colour palette and 600 DPI resolution the new standard for clients.

The new printing capabilities will also improve service through faster printing of fabric graphics building on expertise, a new colour correction process, raw material substitution and also reduced energy consumption and material waste.

This upgrade in print quality and consistency has been carried out at all six of The Look Company’s global factories, including three in North America.

“We’ve built our company into a global brand by constantly innovating at the speed of technology and going beyond the industry standard to adopt the best production practices available,” said Jacob Burke, CEO of The Look Company. “Our sense is that there’s no reason that the large-scale graphics you see on game day or while shopping in-store should be lower quality based on existing industry standards. We believe that our commitment to redefining what our clients can expect will create a new standard of efficiency and design for the printing industry as a whole – while supporting our commitment to sustainability and reduced environmental impact around the world.”

All of these upgrades enable The Look Company to build on the high technical accuracy its known for and distinguish itself in an increasingly visual world.

With production facilities in the USA, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, The Look Company services clients including FIFA, NHL, MLB, Walmart, Formula 1, Jaguar Land Rover, Mattress Firm, Lululemon and others. The company has more than 20 years of experience creating engaging brand experiences through end-to-end design, hardware manufacturing, printing, kitting, project management and installation.
