View Premium Selection, a leading preview trade fair and a meeting fixture for the fashion sector to kick off the season, is celebrating a 10-year anniversary this year, as it has grown successfully over 10 years and 20 seasons. Initiated in 2008, View has offered a premium portfolio of international weaving mills and findings manufacturers at an early date ever since – all in a special setting with optimum business services.

“Over the course of this decade View has developed its own identity with its reliable continuity: Vision, Innovation, Engagement, Worth,” organisers explain. “Based on these values View Premium Selection has developed into the perfect communications platform for networking, in-depth dialogue and professional, efficient working. And what’s more: into a high-energy community that benefits from the positive atmosphere, mood and venue and gives priority to quality, innovation and all things special at the same time.”

“The individual touch of View, the personal, sometimes family-like encounters, the warm welcome for guests are part and parcel of our DNA. All of these factors provide the perfect framework for successful business for all parties involved and act as the much-needed emotional counterpart to our often detached, digital world,” said Wolfgang Klinder, Managing Director Munich Fabric Start.

From 4-5 December 2018, selected fabrics and suppliers will exhibit to the tune of 400 collections for Spring/Summer 2020. Supplementing the summery preview programmes will be numerous collections with short-term delivery dates and for moda pronto and/or Winter 19/20. With this broad-based range, the show responds to the trend toward continuous collection development beyond classic seasons.

“With View we have succeeded in launching a forward-looking concept with a strong Unique Selling Proposal at a very early stage. Embedded in the Munich Farbic Start and Bluezone scheduling it is clearly positioned both in terms of its strategy and content. And all of this is endorsed by the strong approval and support of the textile and fashion industry,” commented Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director Munich Fabric Start.

Due to this dense portfolio, the increasingly international and renowned fashion brands come to Munich with ever bigger teams using the two trade fair days for assured planning of their collections. Trend-setting design studios introduce visitors to the latest print and pattern developments for Spring/Summer 2020. Information on the latest fabrics, colours and stylings for Spring/Summer 2020 will come from leading trend offices, such as Peclers Paris, Laufer Fashion Consulting and The Trend Bunker. The latter will also offer exclusive trend seminars.

The new fashion themes are optimistic, bright and luminous in general, according to organisers. Rustic tones “mingle” with cheerful colours. All areas and facets of sustainability continue to dominate the ranges while re-oriented sportswear draws on street and workwear inspirations. Summer thrives on natural looks, linen, hemp, ramie and cotton. Prints preferably feature on fabrics with irregular surface textures. As always, the Trend Installation in the MVG foyer will provide topical, concrete examples of this.

Interest from potential new exhibitors is also high for the coming View. Taking part in Munich for the first time will be Emil Jersey and the agency Fabian from Italy, Circleline Design Studio from Great Britain, Paulo de Oliveira from Portugal, as well as Fusion CPH from Denmark.
