Ahlstrom’s Flow2Save product has won an INDEX 14 Award. The prize was awarded by EDANA, the international association serving the nonwovens and related industries, at INDEX, Europe's leading nonwovens exhibition which is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, this week.

At the exhibition Ahlstrom is presenting its extensive product range for life science, medical, beverages, water, and transportation filtration markets.

Designed to lower costs

EDANA announced the nominees for the INDEX 14 Awards in early March. Ahlstrom's products were nominated in two categories: Ahlstrom Flow2Save in sustainable product category and Ahlstrom Captimax in nonwoven roll goods category.

Today's award-winning Ahlstrom Flow2Save is a patent-pending filter media for high efficiency air applications in indoor air and cleanroom environments, designed to lower energy consumption and costs.

“EDANA's INDEX 14 Awards recognise excellence in fibre-based products, and related industries. Ahlstrom's award-winning product is a result of our long-term development work and part of our offering for a clean and healthy environment,” said Paul Stenson, EVP, Technology and Strategy Development. “We are proud to have our product presented with this prestigious award.”

Innovations

EDANA's INDEX14 Awards highlight some of the innovations from businesses of all sizes, and from all parts of the nonwovens supply chain. An overwhelming number of applications were received by the deadline, organisers report.

Ahlstrom's Advanced Filtration, Food, Medical and Transportation Filtration business areas are presented at the event.
