Texon will be taking a series of new and re-worked products to the Lineapelle, A+A and Packaging Première exhibitions this autumn.

Technologies under the spotlight will include the company’s recently launched ProWeave jacquard weaving technology and a range of structural components for footwear that have been re-engineered to make them more eco-friendly.

Texon has worked hard over the last year to increase the recycled content of many of its best-known structural components. It has also enhanced the sustainability of the manufacturing processes used to make them. Designed to enable the production of high performing footwear, many of these products will be on display at Lineapelle in Milan, Italy from September 22-24, including Ecoline insoles, BioForm heel counters and Sportflex Eco and Bio toe puffs.

Texon will also be promoting ProWeave, its patented new jacquard weaving technology which makes it possible to seamlessly integrate differing functional and design weaves into a single sheet of material.

Proweave enables the production of continuous woven substrates with the zonal features product designers want, and exactly where they want them, the company says, allowing fabrics for the footwear, apparel, fashion and luxury goods industries to be completely reimagined.

Creating different elasticity, tenacity and abrasion zones within the same weave, ProWeave can help brands bring new creative concepts to life and the technology allows diverse yarn thicknesses, weights and fabric references to be effortlessly combined to create distinctive gradient, rib, waffle, colour, stretch, transparency and 3D effects.

In the safety market, ProWeave can be engineered to create shoe uppers and garments that are robust and waterproof, but also breathable and comfortable. These properties will be promoted at A+A from October 26-29 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Texon is already well-known in the safety arena for products such as Knox and Enigma Zero HT3 insole materials and No-Tear and T Nova high performance fabrics for use in both safety footwear and clothing.

At Packaging Première from October 5-7 in Milan, Texon will showcase its Vogue portfolio – versatile, robust and washable materials used in a variety of products such as fashion accessories, homeware and stationery.

“Over the last 18 months, our sales team has been working closely – albeit virtually – with customers to showcase our range of high performing, sustainable products,” said group sales director Bryan Whitfield. “Naturally the team is eager to get back face-to-face with customers and we are looking forward to showcasing our latest innovations this autumn. With a range of re-engineered products to promote alongside ProWeave, we have an exciting few months ahead of us out on the road – discussing the changes we’ve made to our materials and how these can help our customers meet their own product development and sustainability objectives.”
