As a global leader in personal protective equipment (PPE), 3M is showcasing its leading products at this week’s A+A 2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf (November 4-7).
Across the world’s industries, workers depend on the quality, fit and performance of PPE to help them stay safe on the job. Workers seldom encounter hazards one at a time, which means they often need to wear multiple types of PPE at once. As a cinsequence, 3M’s technologies and services have been developed to work together to encourage consistent use, with options that may help worker communication, compatibility, comfort, fit or performance needs.
“At 3M, we are dedicated to advancing workplace safety through solutions that enhance protection and productivity,” said Aisha Barry, president of 3M’s Personal Safety Division. “At 3M, we’re changing the way we look at PPE and believe it works best when it works together, instead of getting in the worker’s way. Using PPE combinations that help enhance fit, comfort, communication and productivity, it’s more likely that workers will embrace and wear their PPE all shift long.”
3M’s diverse portfolio of products on display at stand H83 in Hall 10 will include the Speedglas Generation 5 Series welding helmet designed for versatility and offering customisable settings and advanced protection features, and the Peltor WS Alert XPV solar-powered headset which provides robust communication solutions with Bluetooth MultiPoint technology and noise-cancelling microphones.
The DBI-SALA ExoFit safety harness is meanwhile engineered for comfort and safety to help workers reach heights safely and Aura flat-fold, three-panel respirators are available in FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 protection levels, as valved or unvalved models.
Because PPE is most effective when worn properly and 100% of the time 3M has also introduced its Integrated Protection Programme – a portfolio of PPE technologies and services specifically designed to address worker needs to encourage consistent use.
