Tokyo-headquartered Yagi & Co will be exhibiting for the first time at ISPO Munich 2025 from November 30th to 2nd December, showcasing textiles and products developed to address environmental, health and heat countermeasures, primarily for the sports and outdoor sectors.

Since ancient times, the lava rock formed beneath Mount Fuji has been carefully protected from changes in surface temperature and weathering and is exploited by Yagi’s Lavatech. The company has achieved a high far-infrared effect by using a special technology to finely crush the lava rock for weaving into fibres. This enables the creation of new products that address a wide range of health issues in areas such as sleep, beauty and sports through blood circulation-promoting effects.

Yagi will also exhibit new materials through its collaboration with Bioworks, the company behind PlaX, a material combining polylactic acid with a plant-derived additive, and Coldveil a nylon fabric with three functions Through the incorporation of titanium dioxide, Coldveil provides a cooling sensation generated by absorbing heat, as well as heat shielding properties and quick drying.

Founded in 1893, Yagi has annual sales of Yen 83.3 billion in global revenue and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
