Karachi, Pakistan-headquartered Yunus Textile Mills has become the first company to achieve Gold Member status of the Oritain Membership programme.

Oritain verifyies the origin of products and raw materials using the latest science, advanced technology and specialised services, backed by deep market expertise, to provide insights in making data driven decisions about the supply chain. The platform offers comprehensive traceability services, including tailored verification programmes, sample collection and expert analysis, all accessible through a secure online client portal.

Gold Membership is the highest tier in the programme, reflecting the greatest level of rigor and most thorough standards of inspection.

Attaining this status required extensive raw material testing through Oritain’s forensic verification across the entire Yunus production process.

The achievement was driven by a need for Yunus to  enhance ESG performance and push the boundaries for textile businesses.

“We are extremely excited about our partnership with Oritain and the future we’re building together,” said its COO Nisar Palla. “Science and sustainability merge together to create a new paradigm for the textile industry.”

Yunus produces ten million metres of textiles per month and has supplied high-quality bedding and curtains to retailers across the United States and Europe for nearly 30 years.

“Becoming our very first gold member is a testament to the vision and ambition of Yunus leadership,” said Oritain’s chief customer officer Gemma Lynch “The company’s commitment to transparency and sustainability provides a powerful benchmark for the rest of the industry to aspire to.”

The Oritain Membership program launched in November 2025 with the objective of connecting responsible brands, manufacturers, and suppliers in a trusted network to deliver greater transparency and sustainability in global supply chains.
