Teijin Limited has announced that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact as part of the company’s commitment to socially responsible sustainability.

The U.N. Global Compact is a set of principles for self-conduct that participating organizations worldwide follow in their independent efforts to achieve sustainable growth. Participants are required to support and implement 10 basic principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.

“The Teijin Group works to improve the quality of life worldwide through active involvement with socially responsible efforts to prevent global warming, promote diversity and much more,” said Shigeo Ohyagi, President and CEO of Teijin Limited. “Through our support for the U.N.
