Hainsworth, a woollen mill in Stanningley, Yorkshire, has announced the launch of a new Spring/Summer fabric collection and revealed its latest colour trends card. The company also invested in a brand-new website, as part of an ongoing commitment to innovation, excellence and quality.

The new fabric collection, which is made from pure lambswool, will be officially introduced to the market at fashion fabric show, Textile Forum, next week. “Best known for their heavier weight Autumn/Winter wools, Hainsworth have responded to the needs of their customers by developing a luxurious lighter weight cloth which is ideal for Spring/Summer garments,” the company reports.

Hainsworth is committed to balance its heritage with innovation and the latest industry trends. Each year, fashion industry forecasts for the coming season inspire eight colour trend collections, which are edited using the entire range of Hainsworth fabrics and presented in a foldout portfolio.

“From jewel tones to earthy hues and classic monochrome, the latest trend card for A/W 2019-20 has been created to inspire fashion designers and showcase the diverse range of shades and finishes offered by Hainsworth.”

The website has also undergone a complete re-design to more effectively tell the story of Hainsworth and communicate the ethos of the brand. Visitors can browse all of the fabric collections, request samples and view the latest collaborations with fashion designers and houses.

“Each year we like to introduce a new fabric, structure or texture to the apparel range and the new lambswool cloth adds a beautiful, soft, light element that has previously been missing. The continuation of new developments and research into industry trends is extremely important for us, as it ensures that our collections are not only classical and timeless but also entirely relevant to the coming season,” said Julie Greenough, Marketing Manager at A.W Hainsworth.

“Our passion and craftsmanship is evident in the quality of fabrics that leave our mill, and we pride ourselves on our relationships with some of the most aspirational fashion brands in the world. We wanted to invigorate our fashion offering for this upcoming season and feel that the new website helps to communicate what we stand for as a brand – experience, quality, skill.”

Hainsworth has been manufacturing premium quality woollen fabrics at its Yorkshire mill for 235 years. Today, Hainsworth integrates the traditional qualities of craftsmanship with innovation and product development to meet the needs of a growing and diverse global customer base. Hainsworth’s premium woollen fabrics are used for high-quality fashion apparel, costume design and ceremonial military dress, as well as for fire PPE, piano felt, aviation interiors and cue sports.
