Trützschler is achieving runaway success with Truecycled installations in India as the demand for recycled yarns soars.
Truecycled is the company’s complete solution for the advanced recycling of pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste encompassing all process steps, from the cutting and tearing of textile waste through to the carding and drawing of the secondary fibres.
Just as importantly, Trützschler’s technological expertise enables partner companies to produce recycled yarns with the best possible quality from hard textile waste. In India, Usha Yarn became the first Truecycled reference customer in 2023 and a further ten customers have subsequently adopted the technology.

Anangoor Textile Mills, based in Kangayam, has a daily output of 30 tons of blended OE yarn (Ne 20-40) produced using more than 50% pre-consumer waste. Eco Spin Yarn, located in Derabassi, specialises in 100% cotton and poly-cotton blended yarns, turning out 18 tons of recycled yarn (Ne 10-40) each day. Its cotton production relies entirely on pre-consumer waste, while the poly-cotton blends incorporate up to 20% rPET fibres.
Fabtech International Hosieries in Tirupur manufactures eight tons of blended OE yarn (Ne 20-40) daily, again with more than 50% sourced from pre-consumer waste. KS Spinning Mills in Panipat operates with a capacity of 36 tons per day, producing a wide range of recycled OE yarns (Ne 1-40). Cotton yarns are made entirely from pre-consumer waste, while poly-cotton blends use up to 20% recycled polyester and as much as 80% pre-consumer waste.
Also in Panipat, Maatrishakti Cotspin specialises in OE yarns, with an output of 18 tons per day (Ne 10-40), using 70-80% pre-consumer waste. Oasis Textiles in Derabassi produces 36 tons of recycled yarn daily (Ne 10-40), relying on more than 70% pre-consumer waste. Finally, Tirumalai Textiles, also in Coimbatore, has a daily output of 17.5 tons of open-end yarn (Ne 10-30) for weaving and hosiery applications, again with more than 50% derived from pre-consumer waste.
Special configuration
These pioneers in India are taking action to promote more sustainable, circular value chains in the textile industry. Their yarns are manufactured on lines of Trützschler machinery configured specifically for recycling. All use the T-Blend blow room line and Trützschler carding machines as the prerequisite for their market success.
“By using Trützschler’s innovative T-Blend system for recycling, we are able to meet high expectations for export quality,” says Aravind Prabhu, joint managing director of Sri Velayudhaswami Spinning Mills. “T-Blend and other Trützschler machines are surpassing our expectations and unlocking enormous potential for our recycling lines.”
