After a long break, the international nonwovens industry will meet again at INDEX 2020 in Geneva, Switzerland, from October 19 to 22.

Germany’s DiloGroup will be presenting its latest equipment developments, including a new and simplified elliptical needle beam drive to make Hyperpunch technology highly suited to standard applications.

The Hyperpunch HαV allows a more uniform stitch distribution in the preneedling process especially in combination with the 6000X needle pattern. In a complete needling line, this felt homogenisation process can be further improved by using the new 8000X needle pattern – said to be a milestone in needle pattern development – which results in endproduct surfaces with low markings over a wide range of advances/strokes.

The 3D-Lofter was first presented at ITMA 2019 in Barcelona and consists of a series of single web forming units which work according to the aerodynamic web forming principle to deliver defined fibre masses in varied patterns on a base needlefelt. A stress-oriented production of technical formed parts resulting in fibre savings, or patterned Di-Lour or Di-Loop felts, are two examples of new application areas using this latest technology.

The 3D-Lofter technology can also be “inverted” for filling up bad spots in web mats to achieve a better homogeneity for spunlace, thermobond or airlay products.

The DiloLine 4.0 concept offers Industry 4.0 modules which not only support the user but also facilitate quality control and maintenance by the generation of maximum data transparency in production and control of operation. Smart Start for a fully automatic start of the production line and Di-Lowatt for energy savings are accompanied by Siemens solutions which can be selected via app or the MindSphere data cloud.

With more than 370 installations delivered to the nonwovens industry worldwide, DiloGroup has the necessary know-how and the complete equipment portfolio to engineer the perfect line for any product specification.

In addition to machines for needling technology Dilo also offers production lines including thermobonding and hydroentangling components in cooperation with partner companies.
