SETEX to present new app for mobile communication with SECOM controls at ITM 2016

SETEX Schermuly textile computer will exhibit at the at ITM 2016, the leading trade show for textile machinery that takes place from 1-4 June in Istanbul, Turkey.

The company will present the new business App for mobile communication with SECOM controls, available for IOS/Apple and Android/Google tablets and smart phones.

As phones and tablet devices start actively participating as expanded computing environment, SETEX has developed the App to provide real-time machine data. The SECOMmobile App scans and detects independently for machines with SETEX control systems. The setup and access fits into the IT- security environment of the plant, the company reports.

Benefits

Managers can benefit from batch status information and time to batch end. Operators will make use of machine status information and time to next operator call. Service and maintenance are made easier with alarm and event notification and remote monitoring.

With the default installation, the software is enabled to connect with two machines, limited to “read only” access. Licensing at SETEX enables for further access levels.
