UK-based Technical Absorbents, part of the Bluestar Fibres Company Limited, will be exhibiting its Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF) technology at The 14th Shanghai International Nonwoven Exhibition (SINCE) in October 2011.

SINCE will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center between 12th-14th October and is organised by CNTA Science & Technology, UBM Asia Trade Fairs and Shanghai Technology Convention. It is also supported by the China Technology Market Association and approved by The Ministry of Science & Technology of the People's Republic of China which adds further credibility to the event.

The exhibition is one of the largest and most important meeting places for manufacturers, suppliers and buyers of nonwovens raw materials, equipment and machinery and aims to reach China and the rest of Asia.  Technical Absorbents aims to take advantage of the exhibitions reputation and directly communicate with thousands of key players from the markets in which it operates over three successive days.

SAF is produced in a range of fibre absorbency grades, lengths and dtex, and also in filament and polymer solution form.  As a fibrous superabsorbent, it can be converted via the traditional nonwoven, textile and yarn manufacturing routes. It is said to offer ease of handling and deliver superior final fabric distribution profiles and integrity, making it the super absorbent of choice for many customers and markets.

The company says visitors to the Technical Absorbents stand, will be able discuss the various opportunities and applications for SAF technology, which include: food packaging; diagnostic packaging; disposable absorbent hygiene, dental and medical products, performance and coolant apparel, geo- and agro-textiles and filtration.

"As ever we are looking forward to visiting China and taking our place at such an important exhibition," says Technical Absorbents Business Development Manager Mr Dave Hill.

"We already have a lot of contacts across Asia and so this is a perfect place for us to meet with those whom with we already work closely, and interested parties that would like to find out more about our company, its super absorbent technology and capabilities."
