Taiwanese technical textiles producers target Indian market

India’s technical textile industry is expected to grow at a rate of 20% annually to touch US$ 30 billion over the next five years.

More than 19 companies producing high-end and innovative technical, composites, performance and industrial textiles and accessories will be showcasing their products. Indian buyers will be able to source and match make with leading Taiwanese manufacturers and suppliers of technical and composite textiles.

Taiwan’s textiles sector is said to be one of the foremost composite, technology innovators and manufacturers in the world. India’s technical textile industry is expected to grow at a rate of 20% annually to touch US$ 30 billion over the next five years.

Indian manufacturing in automobiles and OEM, parts and mouldings are growing and the requirement for quality, reliability and consistency is taking centre stage, according to organisers. Taiwan says it is one of the very few countries which can fulfil India’s requirements. The Indian composite industry is pegged at US$ 2.2 billion with an expected growth of 15% per annum over the next four years.

Mr. Sean Tsai, Overseas Market Development, Taiwan Textile Federation will be in attendance and on hand to answer questions on opportunities in India for technical textiles and composites, the expertise of Taiwanese producers and Taiwan’s cutting edge innovative technology at Technotex India.

Mr. Kushal Doshi, President of All India Reinforced Plastic Moulders Association (AIRPA) will be happy to speak and share views from an Indian perspective on Indian technical textiles and composites opportunities.
