Tanatex Chemicals will be present at Techtextil 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany from 11-13 June 2013, showcasing several innovative solutions to the world of technical textiles.

Milestone in modern crosslinking

Tanatex has developed a new generation of DMP blocked aliphatic polyisocyanates, which are completely free of catalysts, formaldehyde and co-solvents. When compared to unblocked- or other blocked isocyanates they have the unique properties of containing no MEKoxime, needing lower temperature for de-blocking and having excellent pot-life and storage stability when formulated in coatings and finishes.

Based on this state-of-the-art technology, ACRAFIX PCI performs as an excellent crosslinker and adhesion promoter. “We experience a substantial improvement of properties, due to highly branched 3D network building during drying/curing. BAYGARD FBI performs as an outstanding booster. It improves the properties and permanency of fluorocarbon finishes on all types of substrates. It additionally improves the film forming properties of the fluorocarbon,” Tanatex says.

Solution for adhesion to synthetic fibres

These products are especially designed for coating of synthetic outdoor fabrics. TANA COAT OMP is to be applied as soft basecoat and TANA COAT MTO as medium hard topcoat. The end products show high light fastness and UV resistance, very good resistant to hydrolysis and the final coating will be resistant against mildew and fungus.

Halogen free flame retardant solution

TANA COAT SFT is an example of a fully compounded coating for polyester fabrics with flame retardant properties without halogen containing or emitting components. When applied as basecoat, together with for example TANA COAT MTO as topcoat, end products can be created (under certain conditions), with the technical advantage of being halogen free flame retardant.

New development in water- and oil repellence

A modern and state of the art fluorocarbon is represented by the new developed BAYGARD EFN. The product is based on the modern C6-technology and therefore free of PFOS and PFOA. The nonionic character of the product makes it very unique in stability and compatibility in complex finishing recipes.
