The event will feature over 200 exhibitors and 2,500 expected attendees from over 60 countries. 250 speakers across eight concurrent conference tracks will cover the key emerging technology sectors of 3D printing, electric vehicles, energy storage, graphene, IoT, printed electronics, sensors and wearables.

Opening the event will be two presentations that will cover exciting developments across these technologies. The first presentation will be jointly conducted by Airbus and Altran. Airbus, with revenues of around EUR 60 billion, is a leader in aeronautics, space and related services, and together with Altran they are exploring the use of printed electronics to achieve many new benefits in aircraft, from light weighting to improved human-machine interfaces.

Their presentation will cover the progress with printed electronics which aims to reduce the number of discrete parts leading to weight and manufacturing cost saving as well as a simplified architecture, while also allowing for last-minute customisation. Their award-winning printed electronics information panel cabin interior displays passenger related safety and comfort information.

Following this presentation will be Dr Kitty Yeung from Microsoft, the global software organisation with revenue of US$ 110 billion.  Dr Yeung will present on Demands and Opportunities In The Tech-Fashion Industry, bringing together innovations in sensors, wearables, IoT and other technologies with creative design. With the development of open-source hardware, creatives have started to include functional electronics in garments. Driven by creative designs, the industry has tremendous opportunities but also faces significant challenges in scaling. This talk will discuss gaps in the ecosystem and how technologies can help transform the traditional garment industry.

The IDTechEx Show! in Berlin will bring together eight key disruptive technologies and their customers at one venue.
