“Americhem has always been on the cutting edge of technologies in the plastics industry, but as the company’s years of experience in the fibres/textiles segments grew, so did Americhem’s niche in this market,” said Stanley Teoh, Vice President/ Managing Director of Asia Pacific, Sales & Marketing. “Now, Americhem’s R&D team is constantly testing and developing new innovations in the fibres industry on a global scale.”

The first technology exhibited will be Americhem’s masterbatch of Deep Dyeing for PET synthetic fibres, which uses dispersed dyes. According to the manufacturer, this additive has significant advantages specifically for fine denier yarn such as PET/PA6 bicomponent fibre. These advantages include dyeing time reduced by 40%, enabling darker dyeing, dosing flexibility, and reduction in effluent treatment costs.

This product is said to provide significant benefits to RPET applications. It can be blended in bright, semi-dull, and full-dull PET, it enables deeper and darker dyeing, it is environmentally friendly with complete dye bath exhaustion, and is supplied in crystalline form.

The third development is a masterbatch of Stain Resistance for PA6 synthetic fibres that has been developed to provide superior stain fighting performance, which is widely used in carpeting and apparel.

Americhem will also be featuring its technologies for antimicrobials and UV stabilisation, which are pillar additives in synthetic turf, automotive seating fabric, carpet, and textile industries.
