ERCA is a group of chemical companies headquartered in northern Italy near Bergamo, with seven plants around the globe including Italy, Poland, Turkey, Brazil, China, India and now under construction, Malaysia.

Textile specialties

According to the company, its comprehensive assortment of products, together with its expertise in textile processes, produce real efficiencies in the processing work cycles, while also meeting the requirements set by the end user.

The solutions engineered by ERCA are said to encompass the environmental and ethical requirements that textile dyers and finishers have to meet in accordance with the commissioner’s standards.

Innovative products

ReactEVO is a simple and efficient process based on a radically new post-treatment concept in dyeing with reactive dyestuffs, the manufacturer reports. It is said to allow a drastic reduction in energy consumption and water volumes, significantly cutting the total treatment time. Comparative results and colour fastness metrics exceed even the best achievements of today's standard processes, according to the manufacturer.

According to the company, ReactEVO allows energy savings of up to 70%, water savings to 50% and processing time up to 20%. All ReactEVO auxiliaries (DYE, WBS, PHR and TWE) are also confirmed compliant with OekoTex Standard 100 requirements and all are bluesign and GOTS approved.

ERCA, in collaboration with multinational Japanese manufacturer, Asahi Kasei, has created a new dyeing process, OneTone. It is a result of a study to dye Asahi Kasei’s ROICA Colour Perfect, a unique, innovative and fully dye-able premium stretch yarn that can offer great tone on tone colour depth, an imperceptible matt aspect that can be used to match dye with all major fibres such as cellulose, nylon, wool and silk.

OneTone aims to produce the best results in terms of dyeability, colour strength and colour fastness, while being an environmentally friendly and safe process that is bluesign approved.

ERCA was the first Italian company to be confirmed as a bluesign system partner in 2009. The bluesign system is the solution for a sustainable and consumer safe textile production. ERCA offers a wide range of bluesign approved auxiliaries and dyestuffs for the textile industry, always working in compliance with the latest rules and environmental requirements.

ERCA is a chemical company based in Italy that runs its business on worldwide basis with seven plants. Its activities consist in the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical specialties and chemical intermediates. The company offers an assorted and comprehensive product portfolio for a number of markets and formulating industries in many fields – primarily in home and personal care, textile, leather, paper, and concrete.
