INDEX 20 organisers Palexpo and Edana have decided to postpone the nonwovens showcase again until October 19-22 2021.

Due to on-going travel restrictions and unforeseen delays in vaccination programmes, the organisers have been forced to recognise that the lifting of the Swiss federal governmental restrictions on sizeable gatherings of people and a consequent return to normal business may take a little longer than anticipated

Delaying the event for an additional six weeks will increase the opportunities for a broader range of participants to attend the show in Geneva in person. The strictest health protocols will naturally be applied and rigorously observed at the event, to ensure the best conditions are in place to conduct business safely.

The show was originally planned for the beginning of April 2020 and it was hoped to finally be able to hold it this September.

In a second initiative, a comprehensive virtual platform for INDEX 20 is to be launched, which will include easily accessed presentations from over 40 speakers on relevant industry events.

It will enable the over 14,000 exhibitors and visitors to interact directly if they so wish, extend the event’s reach both in terms of geography and applications, and provide live and on-demand product content and information. A data-driven matchmaking facility will assist participants in contacting and networking with like-minded attendees in their particular sector.
