EDANA has released the programme for the Nonwovens Research Academy in Aachen on the 16th and 17th October, 2010. The Nonwovens Research Academy is the premier event for R&D specialists, offering valuable insights into the future of nonwovens, and highlighting current studies and innovative developments across the nonwovens and related industries.
Announcing the programme, and the opening of registrations, EDANA General Manager Pierre Wiertz stated “EDANA believes that innovative research and good connections between industry and academia are critical to the successful growth of the nonwovens and related industries. The Nonwovens Research Academy aims to promote fundamental understanding and knowledge of the science and technology of nonwoven fabrics, products and processes as well as related disciplines.”
EDANA is organising the 5th edition of the Academy, hosted by the Institut für Textiltechnik of RWTH Aachen University (ITA). The event brings together an interdisciplinary group of academics, students, researchers, scientists and engineers and providing a forum to present and discuss research studies relevant to the nonwovens and related industries. In addition, promising young engineers and scientists will have the opportunity to join industry leaders who meet the needs of their R&D departments in their goals for innovation.
The 2010 NRA offers an outstanding programme with 22 papers covering:
- Innovative Applications
- Nanotechnology
- Processing technologies and developments
- Sustainability and Environment
- Testing, Measurement and Modelling
Included in the programme is also a visit of the research facilities of the ITA and IKA of the RWTH Aachen University, and opportunity to meet other delegates at an evening event and guided tour of the historical centre of Aachen.
