The latest developments in nonwoven applications for Ingeo biopolymer, a low-carbon-footprint polymer made from renewable plant material, will be on display at IDEA13 in Miami, Florida this week. NatureWorks says it will show new grades of Ingeo along with a range of final products which will demonstrate the commercial reality of the biopolymer.

“Over the last few years, significant advances have been made with both spunbond and meltblown fabrics. These advances, combined with the broad range of commercially available Ingeo staple fiber products provide real options to satisfy growing consumer desires for more products with green credentials and positive environmental impact, without sacrificing performance,” the Minnetonka based company said in a statement today.

Visitors to the NatureWorks booth at IDEA13 will be able to see products and talk with technical experts to learn about the new performance grades of Ingeo.
