Looking to connect global technical innovation with practical product applications, the third annual Research, Innovation & Science for Engineered Fabrics (RISE) Conference will be held October 23-25, 2012 at the Hilton Baltimore, in Baltimore, Maryland.

For the third consecutive year, RISE, organized by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, will provide stimulation for innovation in all aspects of the development, production, marketing and sales of disposable and durable nonwovens and engineered fabrics to help companies compete in the 21st century.

Sessions at RISE will cover a range of growth markets, including Construction, Advanced Machinery, Sustainable Fabrics, Nanocoatings, Hygiene, Medical Fabrics and Raw Materials.

“Attendees at RISE will find inspiration to develop and market new, innovative processes and products,” says INDA President Rory Holmes.

“Along with the latest technical innovations and new market applications, RISE will provide attendees with great networking opportunities with like-minded innovators within the nonwovens industry. This Conference is designed to provide the tools to improve any company’s business.”

Industry professionals who should attend RISE include Application Development Engineers, Business Development, Insight and Innovation Teams, Managing Directors, Marketing Executives, Product Engineers, Product/Marketing Managers, Product Planners, R&D Leaders/Staff, Research Engineers, Sales, Scientists, Technical Scouts and Vice Presidents.

Among the topics being covered at RISE are Innovative Thinking, Novel Treatments, Innovative Nonwoven Fabrics, Advanced Technologies and Sustainability.

As with all INDA events, networking among suppliers and customers will also be a key component of the Conference.

“RISE will provide significant opportunities for attendees to share their ideas with their colleagues to help drive our industry as a whole into the future,” Holmes adds.

“RISE is all about the business moving forward together for the benefit of all individuals and companies.”

An exciting portion to the RISE Conference will be the presentation of the RISE Durable Products Award, which will be given to a durable product using nonwoven fabric and technology that is commercially available and utilized in the consumer or industrial marketplace.

Finalists will present their innovation to the industry at RISE 2012 and the recipient will be selected by RISE attendees and announced on the final day of the Conference. The inaugural RISE Durable Product Award at RISE 2011 was presented to Aptra Elements, from RKW US.

Registration for INDA members is $1,195 before September 13 ($1,435 after September 13) For non-members, registration is $1,675 before September 13 ($2,010 after September 13).
