The appointment comes on the back of a major recruitment phase, with the business growing its workforce by 20% in 2016, the company reports.

New opportunities

Kirsty has recently completed a master’s degree in Advanced Textiles Performance & Protective Clothing at the University of Leeds, with a key focus on the innovation of protective and performance clothing and sustainability. She brings more than twelve years’ experience in garment product development including positions at major womenswear, fitness and outdoor brands.

“What’s really exciting about this role is the scope of opportunity. There are so many avenues and routes to investigate,” commented Ms Kirk.

“We’re seeing huge advancements in wearable technology, for example, looking at ways to incorporate tech into the actual fabrics of workwear worn by firefighters and those working in dangerous environments. The possibilities are endless and I’m thrilled to be joining a company that is so dedicated to being at the cutting-edge of workwear fabrics.’’
