Silver coated yarns and fibres producer Statex has announced three significant personnel changes, which will help fuel the Germany company’s future development plans.

Milan Christiansen (33) joined Statex on 1 January 2020 and was announced Chief Financial Officer for Statex GmbH on February 1th 2021. He takes over the duties of Hans-Werner Seliger, who is retiring after more than 21 years as authorized signatory and deputy managing director. Christiansen joined Statex after 10 years in a leading position with a renowned and internationally active property developer to support the company's innovative approaches and visions.

"Milan Christiansen has become an integral part of the company within a very short time. I’m looking forward to the intensive cooperation. The appointment to commercial management is the result of his consistently excellent performance and his high level of identification with the company, “ comments Managing Director Robert Erichsen.

Kim-Tina Pätzoldt (28) joined Statex Produktions und Vertriebs GmbH as International Business Development Manager on 1 February 2021. She is responsible for the expansion of international trade relations and enriches Statex with enormous know-how in this field, the company says. As a graduate industrial engineer, she leaves a renowned Hamburg engineering office, on whose behalf she worked for several years in international project management for Lufthansa Technik AG.

"Kim-Tina Pätzold, a proven specialist with international experience, is strengthening our team," says Robert Erichsen. "Together with her we want to push the expansion of our worldwide partnerships."

Stefan Harms (32) also joined Statex as Technical Project Manager on 1 February 2021. As a trained electronic technician for devices and systems with a Bachelor of Science in technical and applied physics, he takes responsibility for both internal and customer and internationally funded research projects. In doing so, he forms the interface between the Research & Development and Sales departments.

"With Stefan Harms, we welcome another competent colleague for the highly technical requirements of EU-funded innovation projects to our ranks. Thanks to his many years of experience, we are pleased to have an expert who can communicate at eye level with the contacts in the various industries," Robert Erichsen said.

Statex was founded in Bremen in 1978 and is a leader in the field of silver-plated fabrics. The family-owned company is managed in the third generation by Robert Erichsen, the grandson of the company founder Kurt Bertuleit and his mother, Claudia Erichsen. As an innovative company, Statex develops metallized yarns, fabrics and end products under its own brand name shieldex, which can be customized and provide technically sophisticated as well as innovative problem solutions for various industries.

The unique 3D metallization process characterizes the shieldex products and enables the use of the properties of different metals in textile form, Statex says. Because silver is highly conductive for electrical and thermal applications, has an antimicrobial effect and shields electromagnetic radiation, manufacturers of end products worldwide are supplied with the metallized textiles for use in aerospace, technology, automotive, telecommunications and medical applications, among others, the company concludes.
