New show director for US textile events

Messe Frankfurt USA announced today it has hired Kristy Meade as Group Show Director, Textile Events, responsible for managing the teams producing Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas, Texworld USA Winter/Summer, Apparel Sourcing and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo.

Messe Frankfurt USA announced today it has hired Kristy Meade as Group Show Director, Textile Events, responsible for managing the teams producing Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas, Texworld USA Winter/Summer, Apparel Sourcing and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo.

John Gallagher, president of Messe Frankfurt USA commented on the appointment:

“We are pleased to add Kristy our team. Her professionalism, strong track record in managing successful events and expertise in the textile industry make her a valuable addition to our team.”

Meade has 13 years of experience in domestic and international events and was until recently Director of Events / Educational Development at the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), where she managed and developed various events with more than 8,000 attendees.

Messe Frankfurt is Germany’s leading trade fair organiser, with sales of EUR 424 million in 2009 and more than 1660 employees worldwide. The Messe Frankfurt Group has a global network of 28 subsidiaries, five branch offices and 52 international Sales Partners, giving it a presence for its customers in more than 150 countries.

Events ‘Made by Messe Frankfurt‘ take place at more than 30 locations around the globe and in 2009, Messe Frankfurt organised more than 90 trade fairs, of which more than half took place outside of Germany.

Messe Frankfurt’s exhibition grounds, featuring 578,000 square metres, are currently home to ten exhibition halls and an adjacent Congress Center. The company is publicly owned, with the City of Frankfurt holding 60% and the State of Hesse 40%.

The North American headquarters in Atlanta is currently producing nine trade shows in the USA, Canada and Mexico across various industries.
