British start-up Callaly collects yet another award recognition for its ground-breaking Tampliner, the first tampon redesign in 80 years. In its fourth year, ”‹World Changing Ideas is one of Fast Company’s major annual awards programs focused on social good, seeking to elevate finished products and brave concepts that make the world better. With a goal of awarding ingenuity and fostering innovation, Fast Company draws attention to ideas with great potential and helps them expand their reach to inspire more people to start working on solving the problems that affect us all.

Co-Founder and CEO of Callaly, Thang Vo-Ta, says that he is delighted with the recognition. “To see the hard work of our Callaly team and the rigorous standards we set for ourselves payoff is always rewarding, but to be recognised as a company that has developed a ‘World Changing Idea’ with our Tampliner, is even more heartfelt. The awards not only shine a light on companies who have addressed a global challenge but that also have a socially conscious ethos in how they commercialise such invention to the masses. This is at the core of what we try to achieve everyday as a team."

Ewa Radzion, Co-Founder and Head of Product added:”‹"We're thrilled to be counted among these innovative companies who are improving people's lives and have made meaningful change in the world. It means so much to us to be recognized by Fast Company, as a period product brand we have often been seen as a traditionally taboo industry but mentions like these push us firmly into the mainstream where we belong. Thank you, Fast Company team."

The Tampliner was invented by Dr Alex Hooi, a senior gynaecologist and Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. It is developed, manufactured and packed in the UK, with the range including tampons, pads and liners alongside Tampliners, all customisable, delivered monthly and made to high standards.

Callaly is a certified B-Corporation, meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability. The company donates more than 1% of sales and 3% of staff time to charities supporting people with

periods. The brand has its sights set on further product innovation in the future, with a focus on the research and development of new products. One such product recently secured Callaly’s fourth patent family grant.
