Technical Absorbents (TAL) is partnering with fellow UK company Heat Stress Global (HSG) to advance the acceleration of advanced stress mitigation solutions.
TAL’s superabsorbent fibre (SAF) technology is already the key component in HSG’s Hyperkewl Plus evaporative cooling products and the collaboration will new see exclusive SAF materials integrated into the latest ActiKewl range, as the company endeavours to provide a step-change in cooling performance, durability and water retention for people working and playing in extreme heat environments worldwide.
The next generation of ActiKewl evaporative cooling products will set a new global benchmark in heat stress mitigation, supporting workforces and teams across construction, utilities, oil and gas, logistics, sport ,and major infrastructure projects in high-temperature regions. With an increasing regulatory focus on worker welfare, the partnership strengthens the ability of HSG, which is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, to deliver scalable, evidence-led cooling solutions for employers.
“SAF has been used within evaporative cooling for a number of years, firstly as an airlaid solution and then with our specialist washable fabric range,” explains Paul Rushton, commercial director at Grimsby-headquartered TAL. “Our fibre’s ability to absorb large volumes of water and slowly dry as evaporation occurs, is what provides a lasting cooling effect. Working closely with HSG will allow us to further engineer our technology so that it continues to achieve optimum evaporative cooling performance.”
“By combining our applied cooling expertise with TAL’s SAF technology, we are creating a platform that clearly differentiates HSG in the global cooling workwear and PPE market,” adds HSG CEO Will Tyler. “This partnership accelerates our ability to scale across high-growth regions, where effective heat stress mitigation is critical to worker safety and productivity.”
