Sharabati Denim now owns a fleet of over 400 Itema R9500-2denim rapier weaving machines with iSAVER, following its latest order for a further 200 of the machines.

With production sites in Egypt and Turkey, Sharabati weaves more than 80 million metres of denim, corduroy and greige fabrics annually for customers including globally famous fashion brands and mass retailers The company now exports its fabrics to 27 countries worldwide.

It was one of the first companies to install a number of Itema’s R9500-2denim looms with iSAVER – a device that completely eliminates weft and warp waste on the left side of the fabric leading to significant cotton and water savings – following the launch of the model in 2018.

Satisfied with their performance, the company ordered a further 180 machines for both its Egyptian and the Turkish plants in 2021 and reports that the iSAVER in production is resulting in yarn savings of from 650kg to 900kg per machine per year.

As a result, Sharabati has now placed its recent order for 200 more of these machines.
