After successfully launching the Heatable Capsule Collection (HCC 1.0) in 2020, Italian brand AlphaTauri is this year introducing a new range of smart heatable apparel with upgraded technology, in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom and Schoeller Textil AG.

The HCC 2.0 collection combines sophisticated design and intelligent fabrics with the latest innovations in wearable technology, setting new standards for heatable apparel.

The HCC styles have heated zones that can be activated and controlled at the push of a button or via a smartphone app (Android and iOS – the latest version of which also supports Apple Watch).

These zones are located in the two front pockets and on the back, on the left and the right. HCC 1.0 can be controlled via a dedicated mobile app which offers precise control over two heating zones around the pockets and lower back. Both zones can be adjusted and there are four levels of intensity.

The app for HCC 2.0 has been further developed so that in addition to the existing “pulse” and “intense” heating functions, a target temperature can now also be set – e.g. 22 °C – which can then be automatically maintained and saved. With the swap mode there is also an additional heating zone mode, in which the pockets and the back areas can be heated alternately.

The Schoeller E-Soft-Shell heating technology features a heating function integrated within the fabric consisting of warmth-retaining Lavalan sheep wool padding, corkshell cork granulate insulation and a heat-conductive lining in the pockets and on the lower back to evenly distribute the heat. The built-in sensors measure the temperature of the micro-climate within the jacket.
