The main body and sleeves feature Allied Feather + Down’s ExpeDRY ultra dry down featuring Fuze technology – gold nanoparticles applied to down clusters to create an active-drying, chemical-free alternative to hydrophobic-treated down.

Expedry retains the performance that down is renowned for and makes care for down products easier, while reducing energy consumption and broadening its performance range. It helps reduce dry times while minimising performance issues in wet weather by adding the non-ionic, permanently bonded gold nanoparticles to the down cluster to increase the evaporation rate of water at a molecular level, without the need for heat.

The technology differs from current water resistant treatments for down. Common DWR treatments act as a hydrophobic agent which allow water to bead, keeping the down clusters drier for longer, but once saturated have no ability to accelerate drying. In real world situations, the increased evaporation rate created by Expedry is of greater benefit than many DWR treatments and once saturated through a thorough cleaning, treated garments will dry almost twice as fast.

In addition, the main body of the Divide Fusion hoodie employs moisture-resistant Lavalan Sport European wool in the side panels, underarms and hood to offer long-lasting freshness, moisture management, mobility and thermoregulation.

The side panels, hood, back hem and sleeves are made from breathable Toray 20-denier, four-way stretch woven nylon fabric treated with Green Theme Technology’s Empel PFAS and water-free DWR.

Empel currently delivers the highest performance water repellent DWR, anti-wicking and stain release treatment on the market, outperforming C6 fluorocarbon options. Recent independent tests conducted by Bureau Veritas prove that it uses no PFAS in its chemistry to achieve the best water repellent fabric protection.

The centre front zip of the Divide Fusion is a YKK Touchlink zipper powered by the Lifekey software platform, an advanced technology that enhances product functionality and adds various opt-in safety features.
