Scott & Fyfe, the Scottish employee-owned technical textiles and advanced materials company, has appointed Ottawa, Illinois-based Waterline Renewal Technologies as the exclusive North American distributor for its AlphaShield composite pipe-lining technology.
AlphaShield is a durable, pipe rehabilitation system designed to deliver a seamless, efficient and long-lasting solution for pipeline restoration. Known as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) technology, AlphaShield enables damaged pipeline infrastructure to be repaired without excavation or digging up of the pipe, minimising disruption and extending the pipeline's lifespan.
The end result is a seamless and durable ‘new’ pipe that is highly resistant to leaks, cracks and wear and tear – all without disturbing the roads, landscape or walls above the pipe.
Waterline Renewal Technologies has an extensive distribution network across the USA and Canada.
Scottish success
“We’re delighted to announce our new distribution agreement with Waterline Renewal Technologies as the sole North American distributor of AlphaShield products,” said Scott & Fyfe MD Michelle Quadrelli. “Our two companies have worked closely together for several years, with over 40 kilometres of pipe liners shipped to the US each month and we know Waterline has deep product knowledge and a strong commitment to customer service. This formal partnership strengthens our ability to serve a wider and growing customer base with shorter lead times and more responsive local support, ensuring our customers receive the high-performance solutions they expect.

“Here in Scotland where the product is designed and manufactured, this partnership not only supports our longer-term growth and export plans, but is also a fantastic success story for Scottish manufacturing, building on over 160 years of history and heritage in Tayport, Fife.”
“Scott & Fyfe has set the standard for performance, reliability and innovation in fibreglass-based CIPP solutions,” added David Williams, CEO at Waterline Renewal Technologies. “This exclusive relationship is a powerful milestone for us and underscores our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality products to contractors, municipalities and engineering firms across North America. With Scott & Fyfe’s advanced materials and our market-leading service, we are raising the bar for the entire trenchless rehabilitation industry.”
The collaboration further reinforces the position of Waterline Renewal Technologies as the most comprehensive provider of CIPP materials and systems in the USA and Canada. Effective from 1 January 2026, it will begin offering Scott & Fyfe’s full range of CIPP liner solutions for both mainline and lateral rehabilitation through its trusted brands.
