Based on an innovative technology of laser-welded plates that are wound and bundled into an annular shape, the product is designed for use on steaming, drying and heat-setting machines, the company reports. The tool is said to allow for re-use of the exhausted energy by producing pre-heated water.

The manufacturer aims to make the Recopac-coil a standard tool to be inserted on the chimneys of textile machinery exhausting fumes at high temperature.

Micro-channel plate

The technology of construction, derived from the optimization research of aeronautical turbines, is based on the use of a micro-channel plate, formed by a continuous band of stainless steel that is pre-formed and welded with an innovative laser technology.

This plate, once coiled, is said to create extremely lightweight recovery exchangers, while allowing for an exceptional surface density made available for the exchange.

Weighing just 30 kg, mounted on a steamer, a Recopac-coil heat exchanger may make available 50 kW of energy in the form of preheated water, using free heat that is normally dispersed, the manufacturer reports.

Recovery unit

The same unit, capable of processing up to 4,000 m³ of exhausted fumes, can be used on the exhaust chimneys of a stenter or heat setting and drying machines.

The modular structure of this recovery unit is said to allow for an easy balance between the cost of the investment and the expected results, covering a wide range of possible applications.

The Recopac-coil recovery units are equipped with an effective self-cleaning system, which allows for continuous use at constant efficiency, according to the company.
